"It was discovered, while playing around with blocks and rectangles.

Much like the way you would scribble drawings during a telephone call: you discover the result when you hang up the phone and look at them again. It's something very simple, yet very surprising.

The 45 light is the result from playing, and still playful in itself. It's great to see people turning it, transforming it into different shapes while directing the beam
of light.

This playful character, in contradiction with its rigid shape, always makes
me look twice at this piece.

Working on the 45 light with the people from Flos has been an adventure.
While keeping its identity, with great eye for detail and refusing
concessions, it was a development containing a lot of passion and pleasure.
The 45 is the product of precisely that."
